Bratz dolls were launched in 2001 and four years later held 40 percent of the market for fashion dolls. The updated, more pre-teen oriented dolls feature modern clothing, hair and makeup looks. The dolls eventually spread to spin-off products such as Bratz Pets, and the characters were featured in a television series and a feature film. There are now over 500 different Bratz dolls on the market, each with a name and character personality. With the popularity of the dolls, Bratz costumes have become a favorite among the pre-teen audience.
Bratz costumes for young girls include a Bratz witch with a dress, hat and belt, and a Bratz pirate costume that includes the dress, bandanna and boot tops. A pirate sword can be added to accessorize the costume. Bratz costumes are completed with two available Bratz wigs that match the hair of famous Bratz characters Chloe and Sasha.
