First appearing in a comic strip by Jim Davis in 1978, Garfield, America’s favorite lazy fat cat, has only gained popularity with his audiences both young and old. Known for his fondness of food, disdain for dogs, and sarcastic spirit, Garfield has become one of the most widely recognized and cherished cartoon characters. Children of the 80′s and 90′s, might recognize Garfield from his series of comic strips and books, or from the cartoon, Garfield and Friends. Younger children will more likely identify with the newer CGI Garfield from the more recent cartoon series and feature films.
There are two options for those wishing to dress up like their favorite cartoon cat, and both fit ages 4-6. One option features an orange full body suit, with a hood that resembles Garfield’s head, and a large bushy tail. A more simple dress-up option features an orange vest with an attached Garfield hood.
