Comic book character turned movie protagonist Hellboy is a demon who was brought to earth and raised among humans to fight evil on behalf of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Hellboy first appeared in the comics in the 90′s, and appeared on the big screen in 2004 and in a sequel a few years later.
