A 2004 surprise hit, the film Napoleon Dynamite follows the tale of a strange and antisocial teenager named Napoleon as he attempts to deal with his odd family and support a friend named Pedro in his bid to become class president. The comedic film struck a chord with audiences, and catchphrases from the film including “Vote for Pedro” spread like wildfire, making the film something of an underground classic gone mainstream.
