The fictional character in a series of children’s stories from the early 1900′s, Raggedy Ann was issued as a doll a few years before the books were released, and they were eventually sold concurrently. The famous doll with red yarn for hair and a triangle nose became a favorite of children everywhere. Not long after, Raggedy Ann was give a brother named Raggedy Andy, who also appeared in the books and also sported red hair. The popularity of the two dolls eventually led to the creation of Raggedy Ann costumes.
The female version, Raggedy Ann costumes for children from infant and up and adults too feature Raggedy Ann’s blue polka dotted dress with white apron built in, as well as white bloomers and red and white striped socks.
