The tales of Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, reach all the way back to the Victorian era, when the character first appeared in fiction. Since then, the barber who murders his clients and Mrs. Lovett, his accomplice who uses the bodies in her pies have become legendary figures of multiple films, plays, and musicals. Most recently Sweeney Todd was played by Johnny Depp in a 2007 version of the film that gave birth to new Sweeney Todd costumes.
